Stepping Stones

What's it all about?

The aims of Stepping Stones are to provide a ‘Learning Through Play’ experience for 3 to 5 year old children and to bridge the age gap between attendance at the Little Rainbows group and going on to school.

Stepping Stones provides a structured time where children learn physical, intellectual, emotional and social skills through play. When appropriate, Bible stories are illustrated in the play activities.

The children have a snack time, are encouraged to do a craft each week and learn other play activities. All the crafts which the children make are taken home for their parents to see.

Free play is encouraged and includes painting, play dough modelling and other table toys, such as puzzles and building construction. Each morning is concluded by a story followed by a singing time.

Stepping Stones allows an older child to attend a fun morning while Mum is at Little Rainbows with a younger child.
